Our Story
The Castle Coffeehouse is an owner-run business, in the heart of Clarecastle village, County Clare.
The owners, sisters, Anne and Yvonne have been in the business of feeding people for over 30 years and are well-known for their amazing food and customer service.
The café opened in May 2015, and since then we have been serving customers wholesome food which is made fresh each day.
Food & Drink
From coffee and cake to delicious dinners and a glass of wine, there is something to suit everyone.
With all-day breakfasts, hot lunch specials, sandwiches, salads and desserts, our menu is inspired by easy, everyday food which everyone can enjoy.
Each day we serve an all day breakfast menu, with fresh baked scones also available each day.
Hot lunch specials are served each day from about 12:30pm.

Our Coffee
The coffee used here at The Castle Coffeehouse is well known and loved by our customers. We are supplied by the coffee company Buondi. This well renowned company has grown over the past 25 years, and serves coffee made from only the highest quality Arabica and Robusta coffee beans. The beans are roasted and blended in Australia, and then enjoyed by our customers right here in Clarecastle.
Our Teas
Solaris Tea might be a company you are familiar with, a family business based in Co.Galway, that work to create and serve only the finest herbal teas. From Jasmine Green tea to Rooibos, Earl Grey or Berry, we have something to suit everyone’s cup of tea!
Our Juices & Lemonades
We stock a range of juices and lemonades supplied by Wild Orchard. Their products are 100% natural and 100% Irish. Some of our favourites include the natural sparkling lemonade, sparkling pink lemonade and the sparkling rhubarb and ginger juice!
Our Jams, Honey, Sauces & Dressings
Here at the Castle, we also make, serve and sell a range of our own homemade condiments and dressings. Our products include our customer favourite raspberry jam, homemade honey and mustard dressing to enjoy here or at home with a summer salad, tangy cranberry and orange sauce, and toffee sauce to enjoy with your dessert, in the comfort of your own home. Along with these delicious creations we also stock and sell local honey, produced just in Ennis by Molloy’s Honey.
Our Homemade Brown Bread
If you have heard about the Castle Coffeehouse, then you have most likely also heard about our homemade brown bread. This family recipe is top secret, but don’t worry, call us ahead of time and we can have a loaf ready and waiting for you to collect.
